Thursday 21 DECEMBER 2017 SETTING UP THE SITE: Members of Te Kupenga have been hard at work over several working bees packing gear at the club house ready to transport to the symposium site. These photos show members unloading the dunnage and making the site symposium ready. The portacom and containers were delivered earlier in the week.
The portacom will be the artists' lunch room and the two containers are for storing artists' gear. tractor etc during the symposium. All that you see has been transported 1.5 km along the Coastal Walkway from the Hobson Street entrance. Vehicles are supported by spotters who warn the walkway users about the vehicles sharing the walkway.
13 DECEMBER 2017: 90 odd selected Taranaki Andesite stones were delivered from Jones Quarry to the Symposium site on the New Plymouth Coastal Walkway.  Te Kupenga members were on site to oversee the delivery. After a year of planning and preparation for the event, with the stones now on site, it feels as if the Symposium spirit has arrived.
