Two kinds of membership are available:
Membership is by nomination by a current club member. An application form must be completed by the applicant and the nominator. All new members must be approved by the Club monthly meeting.
It is helpful to make yourself known to members prior to application. This is best done by coming along to our monthly Open Club Weekends and having a go to see if the work suits you. Alternatively, attend an Andesite sculpture course and seek nomination by the tutor.
APPLICATION FEE
Annual subs are $50 thereafter.

Membership fees are from 1 July to 31 June and must be renewed by the AGM in July if the members wish to vote. In order to ensure our membership list is current and up to date, members must submit a membership renewal form due from 1 July annually to maintain membership:

Two kinds of membership are available:
- Full member - members enjoy all the privileges of membership as a carving member and can use club equipment and facilities after orientation and training. An annual fee is set by the AGM in July and is currently $50 per annum.
- Associate member - a non carving supporter, often a spouse, who wishes to support the club and join in with non-carving activities or volunteer to help run the club in some capacity e.g. property or machinery maintenance, promotions, assisting with symposia, member of the administration support team, secretary or treasurer etc. No annual fee applies.
- Members are expected to respect the club rules, respect the works of others, respect the club property and be supportive and respectful of each other. A copy of the Club Rules is available at the Club Rooms and through notices. See also: CLUB TIKANGA in this website.
- OSH standards: members are expected to regularly check and take care of their tools and to work in a safe manner without imposing a threat to others.
- Club Meetings are held monthly on the first Wednesday of the month at the Club Rooms from 6pm and all members are encouraged to attend on a regular basis. Every member is entitled to contribute to discussion and decision making.
- All members may use the Club facilities at the Club Open Weekends and at other times (once they qualify for the room keys). Some orientation and training in using the club equipment such as the hoist and compressor is necessary before keys are given to individuals.
- Boulders and small stones are bought in by the Club and may be purchased by members at prices posted.
- Members may sell their completed works through the Club Site Display and through the Club website, A 10% commission is charged by Te Kupenga for all works sold or commissioned through the agency of the Club.

- $50 Cash/OR by Direct Credit to TSB 15-3942-0753835-00 ( Identifying deposit with your name). Deposit is refundable if application is declined.

- Emails and club minutes are sent to current paid up members only. If you have not renewed your subscription by 1 September you will cease receiving mail. You can be reinstated as a member by paying the subscription for the current year.
- Your membership will lapse if we have not heard from you for over a year and/or your annual fee (if applicable) has not been paid for OVER 12 months (unless leave has been granted). If you membership has lapsed you will need to reapply to join the club.
