OPEN CLUB DAYS
Club Weekends - the first Saturday and Sunday of every month
Te Kupenga runs a monthly carving weekend open to all it's members.
Members of the public and prospective members are welcome to view the work in progress at the club.
These weekends are an opportunity for andesite sculptors to come together to learn, exchange ideas and enjoy a creative atmosphere.
Stone moving equipment for larger works is available at the Club site so many members choose to work on their pieces at the site. To complete a large sculpture during Club Weekends can take several months.
Club weekends are held on the first weekend of every month at the Te Kupenga stone sculpting club, 76 Centennial Drive, near Paritutu, New Plymouth. Visitors, please bring your own respirator mask with particulate filters, safety glasses and ear muffs if you wish to participate.
