Denise
Newland I began stone carving in 2006 after doing a course with the Tekupenga Stone Sculpture Society in New Plymouth. Working with stone has been a rewarding challenge for me and I have enjoyed the process of learning the technicalities of creating a sculpture from a stone while retaining the natural beauty and flow of the stone as much as posible in my design. This will be my first Stone Symposium and I look forward to the experience of working in the Symposium enviroment and further challenging myself in my work.
