Bodhi Vincent
As a compulsive artmaker my whole life, I graduated from Wellingtons School
of Design many years ago after experimenting with photographics and
illustration work. I continued to draw and paint, exhibiting in New Zealand
and abroad where I lived and worked for several years. Painting dominated
my life but teaching, mural painting, set design and carving props for film
and theatre moved the work progressively toward sculpture, a field where
much of my time in now spent. Having explored many styles and media my
current preoccupations tend to be around painting and hard stone sculpture,
Taranaki andesite and marble carving. The resulting output has been varied
and widespread leaving projects in several countries and local projects
including in Te Papa and a Taupo thermal park.
