Graham Wilson Sculpting with Taranaki andesite gives me immense satisfaction. There is something special about relating to a hard stone volcanic boulder, having the form evolve, and then the tactile relationship with the work as it nears completion. Being a member of the Te Kupenga Stone Sculpture Society has not only provided me with wonderful support and comaraderie but a very unique environment to further develop my skills and knowledge. This is my third Te kupenga symposium and I am enthusiastically looking forward to the opportunity to work alongside, and learn from, local, national and international artists. As always, it will be an incredible memorable event.
